If you are traveling from Chennai or Bangalore to Yelagiri, you can prefer to drive your car. If you are traveling in a group, you can choose to hire a Van or Bus. For one night and two days stay, you have to plan your first day lunch either outside in the resort or plan outside.

O Nila Yelagiri - The best resort for couples

King’s Park Resort is certainly worth a good night’s sleep, but beyond that it has very little to offer. Guests who prefer great surroundings to comfortable rooms should certainly choose Zeenath Gardens and O Nila. Ambalal Resort is a good choice for tourists who can pay a premium for lake view rooms. Yelagiri does not have good restaurants, so travelers are advised to plan their first day lunch in Vaniyambadi or Ambur in the foot hills. Resorts do not have in-house bars.  Alcoholic beverages can only be bought from the only TASMAC shop near the bus stand. The fountain show in the Nature Park in the evenings attract lot crowd. The Nature Park also features landscaped gardens and an aquarium which provides opportunities for photography.

Yelagiri is about 240 Kilometers from Chennai and 150 Kilometers from Bangalore. Due to its proximity to two of the most famous cities of South India, it attracts a lot of tourists especially during weekends.
